Started in a garage in 1975 in Sterling, Virginia with one CNC machine, Carl Foster grew to serve many of the Fortune 500 and DC area companies. Such was the attention to detail, the owner had to move out of his garage and into two leased bays in Lorton, Virginia. The shop enjoyed tremendous growth through the best fabrication of hundreds of parts for all types of industries in the Mid-Atlantic.
In 2014, after several years of close cooperation with Phoenix Companies, Phoenix purchased Carl Foster and merged this top rated shop into the current 12,000 square feet facility in Lorton, Virginia.

Our Specialties include Custom Enclosure Sheet Metal Fabrication and intricate Machined Parts using steel, aluminum, brass, and plastic. We have extensive experience with both one-off prototype runs and quantity production runs to supply research, development, and production efforts in across multiple industries. Additionally, we are able to offer our customers quick turn around times and fast delivery.
