WANTED: Weld Mechanic
Busy machine shop in Lorton, VA is looking to hire a full-time Welder with several years of experience. Our machine shop manufactures precision mechanical parts for the electronics and defense industries. Looking for someone with a good knowledge of all aspects of manufacturing and quality in welding metal parts and sheet metal assemblies.
Requirements:
- Must be familiar with all types of machine shop equipment
- Working knowledge of MIG, TIG, and Spot Welding a must
- Ability to make fixtures and work with tolerances
- Able to read and interpret all types of CAD drawings
- Several years’ experience required with Welding machines
- Work with other members to complete tasks
Responsibilities:
- Main responsibility will be to fixture and weld manufactured parts
- Setup, run, & efficiently weld parts, and enclosures
- Ability to weld different types of alloys
- Able to organize area, and self to operate several weld machines
- Other duties may involve repairs, and hardware installation
Our Company provides paid vacation and holidays. Easy going environment. Hours will be 7 am – 3 pm Monday through Thursday, and 7 am – noon on Friday.
